Sherry's Early Life (1967-1989)
Sherry Stringfield was born on the 24th June 1967 in Colorado Springs, Colorado the oldest of three children. At the age of three her family relocated breifly to Albuquerque, New Mexico before settling in Spring, Texas (near Houston).

Sherry attended high school in Klein, Texas where she divided he time between running track and and running lines in drama class until her teacher convinced her to concentrate her efforts on an upcoming school musical. Sherry is remembered for "streaking" the National Honour Society induction meeting at her high school following graduation.

Sherry attended the Actors Conservatory of the State University of New York (SUNY) located at Purchase in Westchester County New York. While there she roomed with indie film star Parker Posey and appeared in several off-Broardway productions. She graduated in 1989 with a B.F.A.

After graduating she moved to New York City where a mind-boggling 30 agents asked her to sign on with them in the space of a week, a few weeks later while working in theatre box-office Sherry got her first career break.

Guiding Light (1989-1992) and NYPD Blue (1993-1994)
Sherry had auditioned and subsequently signed a three year contract to appear in the soap opera Guiding Light.

Sherry's role as the evil Christina "Blake" Thorpe whose evil deeds included getting her husband institutionalised and running off with her mother's boyfriend brought her aclaim from both critics and fans.


After three years on the show Sherry left to travel Europe but was soon called back to Los Angles for her big break.


Sherry auditioned and won a role on NYPD Blue a new cop show starring Dennis Franz and David Caruso.She played Laura Michaels Kelly a recently divorced DA. Sherry left the show after one season because she felt that her character no longer had a purpose but had left her mark on Hollywood and a much bigger project was just around the corner.

ER (1994-1996), New York (1996-2001) and back to ER (2001-2003?)
